Day 0: Pre-Climb Briefing & Gear Check (Hotel Day)

Drive to Nalemoru Gate near the Kenyan border. Trek through cultivated farmland and pine forest, spotting wildlife along the way. Simba Camp offers a quiet first night on the mountain.

Ascend steadily across open moorland with expansive views of Mawenzi Peak. The gradual climb supports acclimatization before reaching Kikelewa Camp.

A shorter but steeper climb leads to Mawenzi Tarn, nestled beneath the dramatic spires of Mawenzi Peak. This is one of the most scenic camps on Kilimanjaro.

Cross the lunar-like Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. Arrive at Kibo Hut early for rest and preparation for summit night.

Begin your summit attempt around midnight. Ascend to Gilman’s Point, then continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
