What is a Kilimanjaro joining climb?
A joining climb lets solo travelers, couples, and small groups share a fully guided Kilimanjaro expedition with other climbers rather than book a private departure alone. Kilimania Adventure runs daily departure options, so most routes and durations have a workable start date within a week or two of when you want to travel.
Submitting a join request does not confirm a place or take any payment. Kilimania checks availability, confirms the departure, and contacts you before a deposit is required.
How the joining price works
Joining-group pricing is fixed to Kilimania’s 3-person group rate for the chosen route and duration, shown per person. This is different from a private climb, where the price depends on how many people are in your own party.
The joining price does not change with your group size
Whether you request to join as one traveler, as a couple, or as a group of four, the price shown is Kilimania’s 3-person joining rate for that route and duration — not a 1-person or 2-person private rate. For example, the 7-Day Lemosho Route joining price is USD 1,750 per person, because that is the 3-person rate for that route.
If you would prefer a private climb on your own schedule, with pricing based on your actual party size, let Kilimania know when you get in touch — private and joining departures use different pricing.
