Day 0: Pre-Climb Briefing & Gear Check (Hotel Day)

Location: Moshi Town

A full briefing ensures safety, comfort, and summit success.

Overnight at your hotel in Moshi.

Begin your trek across the western Shira Plateau, enjoying expansive views and unique alpine vegetation.

  • Hiking Time:4–5 hours

Gradual ascent for acclimatization. Take in spectacular plateau scenery.

  • Hiking Time:6–7 hours
  • Habitat:Alpine desert

Climb high to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp for overnight rest.

  • Hiking Time:4–5 hours

Scramble the Barranco Wall and enjoy sweeping views of glaciers and surrounding valleys.

  • Hiking Time:4–5 hours

Arrive at Barafu Camp in the afternoon to rest and prepare for summit night.

  • Hiking Time:12–14 hours

Start the summit attempt around midnight. Celebrate at Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, then descend to Mweka Camp.

Enjoy sunrise views from the top of Africa!

Final descent through rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive your Kilimanjaro summit certificate, then transfer back to your hotel in Moshi.
